CD, VCD & DVD are not essential items for our day to day living...
So Telekom kept on raising the local tariff & rental are justified?
Electricity & water likewise?
The government should have control the widespread of these pirates long
ago....but no major action until now...
I am really fed up of talk of the cost to produce one VCD/CD/DVD is only 50
cents...why the illegal ones can do it and the original producer cannot....
Use your brain, my friend...
Did the pirates pay royalty for the movies/music..
Did they do the artworks...
Did they pay for the distribution cost..
Did the pirates care for quality..

Why didn't the government have price control on branded clothings/bags, like
CK, DKNY, Aramani etc
The government should ask the branded line to lower the price of they goods
because Petaling Street is selling fake one 1/10 the cost of the original.
Then why no one complains the fake one can sell for that cost and the
original cannot...

Set your priority straight & use your resources to protect the innocence
from murder, rape, robbery & cheats instead!

I want a safer Malaysia & not on non-important issue like price of
CD/VCD/DVD!

The excuse they first gave was economics of scale, since there
were not many people with CD players, CD prices had to be
more expansive. What's their excuse now?

Err, I was told that a CD lasts forever, even if you keep in car. Some of
the cassettes that I frequently listen to in the car, cannot last more than
1 year, because the car is always parked under the sun.

I don't have a CD player in the car, so I wouldn't be able to know if they
do last forever under such circumstances

I think you missed the point of CDs and cassettes.

It costs much more to produce cassettes compared to CDs (something like RM1
for the CD vs RM2-3 for the cassette, minus the common costs of promos and
the like). Yet for the same album (hence same royalties, rights, etc.) the
record companies charge much more for the CDs because they think CD player
owners are generally richer and can afford to pay more - nothing to do with
the cost issue.

That's the point!
